Professor of Translational Neurotechnology. Studied in Freiburg and Heidelberg, at University College London and at Harvard, doctorate at Yale University, specialist in neurology. Combines invasive human neurophysiology with animal electrophysiology and studies learning, memory, and decision processes together with their neuromodulatory control. ERC Consolidator Grant 2024, led the first BCI implantation in Europe in a motor disorder in 2025.
